For an entity to become truly independent, one side must entirely defy dependency and be willing to face its challenges head-on, while the other must completely withdraw from any attachment, influence, dependency, or form of perceived support, hospitality, or parasitic relationship that sustains reliance.
@sholard_mancity Are politicians exempt from these restrictions? Someone in a fuel guzzler and a chaser flew past me in a 50kph zone at Kenol–Marua, and left me wondering whether I was the one moonwalking.
I’m not asking anyone to calm down, but as a matter of fact, this country has not fully healed from a series of traumatic events. We continue to experience episodes of collective PTSD, which have significantly affected our resilience and our ability to simply enjoy life.
Yesterday, I was thinking about the anticipated marches and the ongoing efforts to defend our democracy, and I realised we might remain on the streets for the rest of our lives if we fail to identify and address the root problem.
Remind your friends that we are already a democracy, and that only civic awakening can save us from repeating the same mistakes.
Tell your parents and elderly friends ..whom you may consider less informed ..that you would be significantly affected by the political choices they make. Engage them on the dangers of handout politics.
Remind those who are uneducated that their political choices can contribute to sustaining their struggles more than their lack of education itself. Remind the “I don’t care” generation that abstaining is not decency; it is still an indirect choice that dictates the leadership we end up with.
Take steps to educate your communities about the roles and responsibilities of each elected representative, so we stop misplacing expectations and electing handout masters instead of legislators, accountable leaders, thinkers and men and women of integrity.
Remember, bad leaders remain in government because good citizens choose not to engage with politics.
I acknowledge the importance of commemorating our fallen heroes, and I hold them in the highest regard. However, if we fail to use civic engagement as a tool for change, we may continue moving in the wrong direction because we veered off course long before we realised it.
Have a great run ahead.
Yours faithfully,
His Excellency
@j_oscar1 For a real contest, let Mrs Waria go for Woman Rep and Faith for Senate.
I guarantee Jalas and the socialite bimbo would be left chasing dust on their way out of the city.
@amerix This account is well aligned with my understanding of an authentic lifestyle, and it’s no longer just about @amerix but about the wellbeing of every man. Whether you agree or not, the facts remain.
@Kenyans The will of God is for everyone to eventually return to Him, but He is not in a rush.
Ebola, poverty, unsustainable healthcare, drought, and famine can become factors that lead to meeting the Creator earlier than expected.
His will be done but you must not rush it.
Kenyans are not moved or swayed by any emotion-harvesting spree.
They have demonstrated the ability to remain calm amidst chaos, but don’t mistake that calmness for alignment with your ignorance
..They are simply waiting for you to toggle that trigger, and then you will witness their response.
You may try to hold them back, but you will find it as difficult as trying to stop an ejaculation that has already left the scrotum.
Huwezi shona mkundu nani, huwezi.
