This world is so, so broken is so many ways… yesterday was a somber reminder of that truth.
Please know this, there is no amount of legislation, policy or ideology that will heal the state of the human heart. We’ve ALL experienced hurt, rejection and trauma which we then project onto everyone around us. We’ve ALL contributed to the never ending cycle of hurt that is this fallen world. And make no mistake, the level of evil you see projected by certain people is a literal mirror of the severity of trauma that they carry around. This goes straight from the top of society, to the very bottom.
But what if I told you that I know the cure? The cure to ALL pain and suffering?
Please know that I’m being 100% serious when I say that God is REAL, and his name is JESUS CHRIST. I know he’s real. No one can tell me otherwise because I tangibly encounter him and his presence every single day.
I too used to carry around my hurt and my trauma like a backpack and it used to weigh me down to the point where I couldn’t even walk anymore. Not even becoming a WWE Superstar and living my wildest dreams could heal me… I could main event Wrestlemania, and it still wouldn’t heal me.
But one day, in the deepest part of my mind, will and emotions, I opened myself up to Jesus… and I supernaturally encountered a presence that was so pure, so peaceful and so powerful that I can’t even begin to put it into words.
He showed me how throughout everything that I’ve ever been through, he was there by my side the entire time. He didn’t want ANY of those things to happen to me… but he allowed it because he knew the man I would become. He knew that he would heal me, and in doing so would instill in me a burning fire to lead so many others to him so that they can be healed too. I couldn’t get rid of it even if I wanted to.
And now I wear my trauma as PROUD battle scars. You start to understand that the people that hurt you… it was never personal. That they need the love of Jesus just like the rest of us. I can look back at them and genuinely love them, instead of harboring bitterness and resentment that would otherwise kill me from the inside.
I promise you that when the spirit of the one true living God comes to reside within you, there is literally no room for hate in your heart. There’s no room for evil. But without the Holy Spirit… there’s all the room in the world. As you look at the world today, you’re seeing the consequence of the lack of God’s love in the hearts of man.
If you think that it’s all a facade or a fairytale, allow this seed to be planted in your heart today.
Maybe, just maybe… I’m not crazy.
God bless every single one of you, in Jesus’ name.
Amen.
Emma Raducanu’s Wimbledon run comes to an end.
Obviously not the result she wanted, but this tournament feels like a massive moment for her moving forward.
Even after 3 surgeries & overcoming so much in her young career, it’s clear as day that this is where she belongs.
Two top 10 wins in 10 days.
1st time in the 2nd week of a Grand Slam since becoming the US Open Champion.
It’s been a long road for someone who’s had such a short career.
But things are finally looking up for Emma Raducanu.
🇬🇧❤️
🙌 “Joining Stoke was a great decision. Probably the greatest fans of my career.”
👏 “I’m still in contact with a few players from my time there. It was a great club.”
@BoKrkic reminisces on his time at ‘Stokealona’ & has a few words on @PeterCrouch’s dressing room anthems 🤣
Michael O’Neill took over when we were on a one-way ticket to League One. He dismantled a team groaning from overpaid ‘big name’ mercenaries and built a team with twice the spirit for the fraction of other Stoke managers’ budgets. For all his faults, that was quite the feat.
This is why sacking him after a poor run of results would be such a backwards step. The damage he picked up was always going to take years to fix, and he’s getting us in a much healthier position quicker than most would. We have to be patient even if this season fizzles out.
🥳 Happy 42nd Birthday, Eric Abidal!
😢 Diagnosed with a liver tumour in March 2011.
🏆 Recovered from an operation to win 2011 #UCL Final.
🙌 Liver transplant a year later before returning to full fitness.
❤️ A true inspiration.
Im not bothered by the outcome of this match at all. Just seeing Federer at 39 off the back of 2 knee surgeries playing to an empty stadium at 12.30am getting fired up is inspirational to me. Do what you ❤️
