@Alex_Bramley3 This our system within school. Slt cover the lesson while teacher speaks to student to try and resolve the issue maintaining relationship and class teacher status. Teachers not forced, their judgement call on situation. Our teachers are becoming more confident and proactive.

@Mrs_P_Deputy @morgan_chatten @Strickomaster Our call out system is to reinforce student and teacher relationships. The member of SLT responding will cover the class while the class teacher takes the students out for a restorative chat to try and resolve the issue. Does not always work mind you but relationship remains.

Our school approach is robust kindness, care, respect and kindness to have high expectations of all and ensure we follow up! Provide teachers with the structure but allow them to demonstrate their own personality.

@HWT_PE If students fail to follow instructions with as much support and options as possible then sadly they are unsafe in school. Apply the bp policy, be consistent, fte and parents in. Safety plans implemented with clear expectations.

@Missy_Megan @Team_English1 Be yourself, share your passions and vision of what you want to achieve. They have to buy into you as a person and leader. If they do then a secondment is a brilliant insight and prep for AST role. Helped me alot.

@mr_alfredb Came into teaching in my 30's. Three years of class teacher, 3 as hod, 3 as Hoy before secondment to SLT. Then secured a position as AHT. Personally the role of AHT is a massive learning curve and will take time to develop my leadership skills
