There's an easy fix to stop SIM porting:
When you request a port, you must supply a 2FA code sent to your phone number to the telco.

It's "SIMple" - if you can't prove you have the SIM, you can't port the number.

Every mobile call has the area code (04) added in front. You're making a mockery of (tele)communications!

@Telstra BS. Adding the area code to landlines does NOT fix the problem. I also can't call some mobile numbers (one on Vodafone, one on Telstra). The message is always "The number you have called is not connected".
Even after phone reboot and airplane mode switching.

The dispossession of Indigenous Australians was also perpetrated by missions to proselytise Aboriginal people. The beliefs in Christianity is at complete odds with traditional Dreamtime beliefs.
Indigenous Australians made good for 60,000+ years without "Jesus".
