@rachel_vangor A8: I really liked the basic circuits of the Arduino because they were simpler for elementary students but you could teach them so much about electricity, programming and coding from it. #wemake19
@rachel_vangor A7: I have definitely gained more confidence. I really just have to work on organizing my code and cleaning it up so that it is easier to read. #wemake19
@rachel_vangor A6: My biggest take-away so far from the course is that making kids problem solve and encouraging them to do so is extremely important. And so is working with their hands in an active classroom. #wemake19
@rachel_vangor A5: When trouble shooting I first see if anything is working at all. If nothing is working I follow each wire between the picture and my board. If something is working then I assess the wires that lead to the component(s) that are not working. #wemake19
@CourtneyG1511 Q3: I think starting off with the simpler ones and building on it slowly. Also working in a small group with students would be extremely helpful. I know there are kits similar to Arduino that are more kid friendly. #wemake19
@CourtneyG1511 Q2: We do not have a set makerspace at school and I do not have one really set up in my classroom unfortunately. However, I am slowly building one in my classroom and working towards getting the necessary supplies. #wemake19
@MissStevenson17 Q9: I had trouble with the Touchy Feely Lamp because even though it was easy to build the coding and trying to find the file on Arduino was challenging. #wemake19
@MsScanlon22 A10: I always say this is my favorite part of teaching.. the aha moments. I think I realized I need to include more creativity wherever I can. #wemake19
@anthony_gambina Q8: Students could make a portfolio or create websites about the information they are learning. It would be based on their skill and creativity how it turns out. #wemake19
@anthony_gambina A7: I think the most engaging times for my students is during centers. They have choice and get to work with me in small groups based on their needs. I do these every day. #wemake19
@JaclynnDefina A5: Unfortunately I find that I am lecturing too much due to the programs that we use for ELA in math but I try to take time to do non-lecturing activities when I can fit it. I make sure to do centers each day. #wemake19
@JaclynnDefina Q4: I think it is important to let students choose the projects they want to do when completing assignments. If you let them choose you will see their creativity and they will own their learning. #wemake19
@WesternWhitney Q3: I find this to be something that is a struggle because no one wants to sit there and watch a student struggle. I think it is best to just tell them to try their very best and see what they come up with. #wemake19
