Major cheat code for life: Become difficult to rush. The world will pressure you to rush into everything. Rushed decisions. Rushed conversations. Rushed relationships. Rushed timelines. There's immense power in rejecting that trend. Slow down. Create space to think clearly.
We have done a summary of the proposals that were rejected by MPs, why they were rejected, and the proposals that were passed.
Here is the deeper thread.
Save and share.
You're supposed to use every unfair advantage you have. Looks, genetics, connections, dad's money, whatever.
There's nothing noble about choosing the hardest path just to feel like an underdog.
Elon just created 4,400 millionaires in a single day.
400 of them are now worth over $100 million.
These aren't VCs. They're SpaceX employees, and the list includes welders, technicians, and cafeteria staff, because for two decades the company paid every level of the workforce in stock instead of higher salaries.
Juan Hernandez immigrated from Mexico and took a $28 an hour contractor welding job in 2015. He says he didn't even know what SpaceX was. The company gave him a $10,000 equity grant and let him buy more shares through payroll deductions. That stake is now worth $880,000.
Trevor Hise's parents wanted him to take a stable job at General Electric. He picked SpaceX instead, stayed 12 years, and accumulated over 100,000 shares. At the $135 listing price that's $13.5 million. He's 37 and semiretired. His words: "The magnitude of this has been ridiculous."
The most telling detail came before the listing. Over 100 employees quietly banded together and negotiated a group wealth management deal covering up to $5 billion, because none of them had ever needed a wealth manager before.
Software IPOs have minted millionaires for 30 years. This is the first one where the money went to the factory floor.
As a young man, Caesar stood before a statue of Alexander the Great. He stared at it for a long time.
Then… he began to cry.
His friends were confused.
"Why are you weeping?"
Caesar answered:
"At my age, Alexander had conquered the world… and I have done nothing."
Most men compare themselves to weaker men and feel proud. Caesar compared himself to greatness—and felt hunger.
Years later, Rome would kneel before him.
Your standards shape your destiny.
@Terry_ke001@amerix Make sure every coin you earn is budgeted for. Never have idle money in your accounts. And NO will come automatically. Also let your parents understand that their financial lack is not your obligation. Otherwise they are recruiting you to same lack cycle.
Ever wondered why some people own multiple properties…
…but are still broke?
This is how it happens.
A client was about to take a KSh 35M loan to build rental units.
On paper, it looked perfect.
Then we did the math.
A thread 🧵
@ernest_nyakundi Really Insightful. Simply explained.
But I don’t think even the bank can approve that 35m loan facility to be serviced in those terms. It's an automatic default in the 1st installment. Banks are very thorough when it comes to feasibility studies and appraisals.
@prinkasusa If a male employee had puked or pooped on the same chair, could the manager have acted the same? Menstruation is a natural female body process just like digestion, breathing, excretion defecation etc. But for the ecosystem to balance, we need such MANGINAS in our societies.
When my portfolio hits Sh20M, I will be able to withdraw Sh1.2M every year and never run out of money.
This will represent a withdrawal rate of 6% from my portfolio.
Assuming an average annual return rate of at least 6%,
I will be able to comfortably live on sh 100k per month without relying on my active income.
