Did you know Jewish law prescribes we have to bury the whole person, as whole as possible, that includes any blood or body parts that may have become separated from a person in the course of their brutal murder.
ZAKA volunteers are responsible for this immense and meaningful undertaking. They collect, by any means possible, all parts of a human being. That includes absorbing blood in cloth that can be buried with the person.
I’m eternally grateful for what they did on October 7th and the following weeks, as the brutal nature of the violence became known so did we all realize what these heroes witnessed. May they all be blessed.
@_richtig_falsch Mandatory Palestine was divided into 2 countries, Jordan and Israel. Palestinians already have a country but they are greedy fucks that want more
Nice but it doesn't even matter. The burden of proof lays with the accuser. You 'think' genocide? How? How tf is it, that there are more gazans today than in 23?how?
Over 75 senior retired 🇺🇸U.S. generals, admirals, and military lawyers have signed a new open letter rejecting claims that Israel committed genocide in Gaza.
The signatories include those who have commanded U.S. armed forces in combat, applying the laws of armed conflict.
Their conclusion: based on the facts and applicable legal standard, the conduct of Israel’s war against Hamas does not constitute genocide.
As the letter states, “Civilian deaths occurring during combat, however tragic, are insufficient, by themselves, to support a finding of genocidal intent.”
The standards used to judge military conduct matter precisely because war is tragic and imperfect.
“The precedent established today regarding Israel will shape the conditions under which American forces fight tomorrow. Protecting civilians and preserving the ability of our nation to defend itself requires us to defend the truth when the laws of war are being distorted to make false charges of genocide.”
This is not an argument for minimizing the suffering of civilians. It is an argument for applying the law faithfully and maintaining the distinctions that matter: between the tragic consequences of war, violations of the laws of armed conflict, and the specific crime of genocide.

Israel-Palestine coverage on @Wikipedia has been reshaped since Oct 7 by a core group of roughly three dozen ideologically-motivated editors, the Gang of 40.
NPOV conducted an analysis of the six leaders of this group which shows how it works.
Our reports, published here, reveal how this accretive, mostly under-the-radar strategy run by a handful of accounts managed to undermine knowledge infrastructure on the most contentious geopolitical topic today.
The Key Tactics that our reports reveal:
+ They worked in groups of 2, 3, 4, 5, or all 6, rotating in ways that obscure coordination.
+ Pairs overlapped on up to 1,463 articles, and all six converged on 64 pages.
+ Up to 90% of their edits went to this one topic, sustained for up to two decades.
+ Deletion sprints cleared material faster than others could respond.
- One account removed 14,312 characters from the Labour antisemitism article in two edits, two minutes apart
- ~25,500 from Amnesty's in 22 edits;
- ~11,600 from the Holocaust Remembrance Alliance's in 23 minutes.
+ The group shaped the Reliable Sources discussions that decide which outlets can be cited anywhere on Wikipedia.
- Western and NATO sources were dismissed, while outlets like Al Jazeera were defended.
+ They logged 18,000+ edits on Wikipedia's administrator noticeboards, where disputes over conduct are decided.
+ On talk pages, volume stood in for consensus: one editor posted 11 times in four hours on the Zionism page.
+ On Oct 7, 2023, with the attack still underway, one of the Six renamed the article on it from "Hamas attack on Israel" to "Gaza−Israel conflict."
+ May 2024: another removed the section on the Oct 7 attack from the Gaza war article, including the Nova festival massacre, 251 hostages and reports of sexual violence.
+ Eight editors were topic-banned for conduct. Not one of their edits was reversed by the ArbCom proceeding. The pages they built were never audited.

Shani Louk z”l, 22, from Srigim
Shani was murdered at the Nova music festival by Palestinian terrorists on October 7, 2023.
Born in the moshav of Aderet to an Israeli father and a German mother, she was raised in Srigim after her family returned from a few years in Portland, Oregon. As a teenager she danced hip-hop and modern dance, loved music and nature, and designed her own clothes.
At 18 she moved to Tel Aviv, studied graphic design, and opened a small tattoo studio in her apartment. She held Israeli and German citizenship, and traveled to festivals in Europe and Mexico.
She went to Nova to dance with friends and was still dancing at about 6:45 a.m. A video of her disfigured body in the back of a pickup, driven through Gaza while terrorists cheered and shouted “Allahu Akbar,” circulated worldwide within hours and made her one of the most recognized faces of the day.
Her family hoped for weeks that she was alive and being treated in Gaza. At the end of October her death was confirmed from a skull fragment found on a road leading away from the festival. Israeli forces recovered her body from a tunnel in Gaza in May 2024, and she was buried in Srigim.
Shani is remembered for her art, her dreadlocks, and her love of music and dancing. Her brother said she was artistic in the way she moved, and that she had fun until the last moment.
May her memory forever be a blessing.
@aurelienbardon Wow. Such articulated and differentiating opinion. Just for that, I salute you. For each friend you have lost, you will make 2 real ones, I am sure. You already have my appreciation.
