It delights me to think that what feels historical and amazing to us today—a woman sworn in to the vice presidency—will seem normal, obvious, "of course" to Kamala's grand-nieces as they grow up. And they will be right.
Just found out that because of parents keeping their kids out of my daughter's school, what had been 2 classes of 22 in 5th grade last year is now just one more crowded class of 29 in 6th.

@ottawahealth@VeraEtches Can you please give specific examples of what “close contact” means in a classroom setting? Like, is that just if a child was sitting beside a student who got Covid, or would it be any students in that class? The teacher? There has been no clear indication. Many thanks!
Teaching may be the toughest job, but principal may be the loneliest job. They're in a constant tug of war between mandates, directives, & expectations of the district and the needs & support for teachers. Its important for superintendents & teachers to recognize & show support.
@ManteMolepo I tracked my hours last year, every day, (because I wanted to prove that “part time job” assumption wrong) and in the end I worked almost 200 hours MORE than a standard 9-5 employee would over the course of the year. I have the spreadsheet to prove it.
