Ms. Brunger facilitating a reflective conversation while our District Instructional Leadership Team reviews our Friendly Feedback Forms! #LibertyPrideNY
A3: #saanyschat this is a simple workbook that one of my @newpaltz professors wrote. They are lessons any teacher/professional can use to create a place and space for all https://t.co/bCr0qJLL0M
A2: had to shift when others are resistant to or do not see cultural responsive as essential to a school climate that their beliefs and systems are deeply personal and it will take time and collaboration to create inclusion… not just professional developments #saanyschat
A1: it means always asking questions, being open to change or nuance and constantly clarifying definitions. One culture might have a different interpretation of something like “respect” then the other, which makes student disciplinary issues complex at times #SAANYSChat
@larrydake@SAANYS A1: maintaining a better nightly routine! Having 2 kids under 3 years and being an admin makes this hard but maintaining home routines I think will make me better in the professional setting too! #SAANYSChat
A2: We include them in the beginning of everything… year planning, interview committees & as many things as possible so when they are asked for feedback via forms and convos it aligns w/ what we ask faculty and the data is richer because of the collaborative culture #SAANYSChat
Q1: prizes! I’m addicted to the $1-5 bin at target and when we talk about difficult topics or repetitive ones like yearly DASA training I make a prize tower & have brave participants choose from the tower because everyone likes free stuff! #SAANYSChat@larrydake
