I have truly enjoyed my time on Twitter. While I haven't posted much in the last few years Twitter was a game changer for me in education. Given the direction of this platform however, I can't stay. Thank you all for giving so much to me. Forever grateful π
@offgridteacher @SharonCarter63 How does your school not have a library? Did it used to and then it was taken away for classroom space? I'm so confused. I didn't know that was a thing. But to answer your question, coding, STEM kits, reading or writing a story.
@citizenstewart I'm not sure. I have a feeling the program in its entirety is probably different than what is happening. But a reward store for kids who are already doing the right thing and have teachers who LOVE tickets does nothing to change behavior. It's straight up bribery most of the time
We had the chance to rethink schooling. We had the chance to make systemic changes. We had the chance to really be about the equity we try to preach.
It's up to teachers and individual admin, yet again.
