I'm very excited to announce that I am @MaineMusicEd 's new Chair of Music in Our Schools Month! It's been nice getting to know music education in Maine the past 2 years, and I'm excited to get more involved! @WPSPride@Rsu14S@NAfME
So proud of our @WPSPride 3rd grade chorus! They loved singing at the @seadogs game tonight - making these memories together in our community is priceless ⚾
What an adventure it is to put just about 200 kindergartens on the stage! Using what we teach day-to-day in music class in our concerts creates a powerful connection between our music classrooms and the families in our communities. ✨🎶 @WPSPride@MaineMusicEd
My music class "Safe Place" has been amazing this year. This year was my first year using it, and I'm so glad I did. It's served as a calming space for so many students - what a wonderful tool!
Loved working with these ladies to plan our 1st grade concert that happened back in March. We all got aboard the "Chattanooga Choo Choo" for a musical adventure to the pond, the farm, & a few others before our big finale with our school song. @WPSPride@MaineMusicEd
I loved putting together this cultural lesson back in the fall. I worked with our wonderful art teacher and the Spanish Honor's Society to bring a lesson about El Dia de Los Muertos to our 3rd graders. Papel picado, dancing, bingo, oh my! @WPSPride@MaineMusicEd
Check out learners learning about Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos! Thanks to Spanish Honor Society, Art Teacher, Mrs. V, and Music Teacher, Mrs. Wright.
Music centers are a great way to end the year! Have fun and spend quality time, while also reviewing content from the year. Here, students are rolling "story dice" and making up songs to go with the pictures they roll - self expression and creativity! @EducateMaine@MaineMusicEd
This school year has just FLOWN by! We are winding up with lots of fun while preparing for next year's learning. Learning folk dances is more fun with our @BearPawCreek stretchy band 🤩 @SLSLakeRegion#educateME#musiceducation
I've got some news to share 💙🤩
My husband and I are so excited to be welcoming a sweet little BOY to our family this winter!
P.S. I didn't know there was a type of "tired" more extreme than "teacher tired," but there definitely is 😅
The 1st day of school is tomorrow!🤩 I've spent weeks getting acclimated to my new school district and state, and I am so so excited to finally meet the kiddos who will call me their music teacher this year. Bring it on, 21-22! Let's do this! @EducateMaine@MaineEA@MaineMusicEd
