This video is one day old but understand the resistance. Malvani (Malad) is a western suburb of #Mumbai with a history of peacefuls not allowing Ram Navami celebrations.
Today, Mumbai Police has deployed over 13,500 personnel across the city, specifically in Malvani and Malad, which are identified as 'sensitive zones'. The police are using drone cameras to monitor processions (Shobha Yatras) in real-time.
Approximately 500 constables and 50 officers, along with units from the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) and Riot Control Police, are stationed in the Malvani area to ensure the processions proceed peacefully.
Leading up to today, the police held meetings with local peace committees and Mohalla committees to coordinate routes and timings to avoid any friction.
