@rick_ramirez915 In preparation for “Decade Day” I was telling my students a story that included “When I was a child in the 80s…”. When I finished the story one of my boys said, “You were a kid in the 80s? You don’t look that old! It must be that expensive face cream!”
When children have a chance to play with number, they can start to build connections between different concepts and become more fluent at calculations.
Here are a few ideas to provide opportunities for children to explore number:
You know what students really don't care about? If teachers wear jeans.
You know what doesn't affect student learning? If teachers wear jeans.
You know a free and easy thing that might make teachers a little happier? If teachers wear jeans.
Effective leadership is kind of simple. Hire the best, treat them like they're best. Support, encourage, and appreciate them and they will become the best. And they will want to stay.
