Surprise! Just a few days ago I was switched from the Kinder Crew to my new Second Grade Squad🤪 Even though this was not the original plan, I’m thankful to now be teaching my favorite grade of kiddos!💛
Today we shared third, fourth, and fifth grade student @Flipgrid responses with students at @MiamiUniversity - and then the college students answered some questions about #STEM! The elementary students will LOVE watching them!! #TalawandaEmpowers
@KuptzAmy@janelance2nd There are many benefits to this type of instruction: an organized classroom environment, teacher modeling, room to implement different teaching strategies, and awareness of where students are when it comes to understanding the material.
@Ms_KMiller1@janelance2nd I would say being aware of each students’ prior knowledge, the rate in which they learn, their individual needs, and the required curriculum. Many aspects go into creating learning goals that include each student in your classroom.
@janelance2nd I believe communication is key. The teacher should be talking with the student about their needs, observe their strengths & weaknesses, monitor their success in all area (academic, physical, social), and help them be successful both in and out of class.
@janelance2nd Q2) In order for students to feel welcomed in your classroom, you must do several things. 1. Show interest in their interests. Get to know each student individually. 2. Create a calm and kind learning environment. 3. Show your compassion and drive in helping them succeed.
@janelance2nd A1) Allowing students to work and learn in their own ways, thus promoting their education. Students will surpass their assumed limits by branching out into different teaching strategies and learning techniques. #EDP495eS19
