🕯️Tribute to the Late Dr. Opira Cyprian: A Champion of Tax Compliance and Community Development, 🌍 Gulu

At URA, we honor the life and legacy of the late Dr. Opira Cyprian, a remarkable individual whose commitment to tax compliance and community service made a profound impact on Gulu City and Uganda as a whole.

Dr. Cyprian was not only a revered leader at Lacor Hospital where he dedicated himself to saving lives and improving healthcare, but also a steadfast advocate for responsible citizenship.

His belief in the importance of contributing to the nation’s economy was exemplified by his impressive tax contributions, totaling over 15 million UGX in the past three financial years.

His rental revenue alone saw significant growth, reflecting his commitment to economic development. Dr. Cyprian maintained a 100% filing ratio, setting a standard for integrity and compliance that we can all aspire to.

At the time of his death, he had been listed among the top 20 most compliant tax payers in Northern Uganda. This was through payment of rental tax collected from accessible and affordable housing in his Gulu City estates.

Dr. Cyprian’s legacy also includes a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ministry of Health Uganda, honoring his profound contributions to healthcare.
