Today was winter hat day at my school!
Of course I had to represent @AvilaUniversity down here in Texas. @AvilaActivities#alumna from Cheerleader and BSU President to Social Skills teacher 🫶🏽
Monday-Friday it’s the B.A.S.E teacher life for me BUT on Sunday is all about the @HoustonTexans!
Ran into some cool kids from the district and of course I had to get a picture! It’s all @KleinISD love. @KleinOak@KleinOakBand great job today!
First-year teacher checking in! I am so happy to FINALLY be able to share that I have been offered a position as a BASE(Social Skills) Teacher in Klein. I passed the SPED exam on the first try! I am so excited to finally be able to do what I was born to do.
It's time for the Draft Party!!!!!! Come on H-Town let's get hype for the @HoustonTexans at Miller Outdoor Theatre in Hermann Park. The party opens at 4!! The Draft starts at 7! It's free!! so come party with me! #gridirongang#Texans#DraftDay
Day 16: Let's just take a moment and celebrate some of my favorite black superheroes. The Green Lantern, Static, Storm, and Vixen. Black superheroes are important for children of color because they give perspective, shows inclusion, and that superpowers can be used positively.
Day 15: Dorthy Dandridge! She was a singer and actress. I remember at a young age watching Mrs. Dandridge in Carmen Jones, for which she won an Academy Award in 1954! She was also the first black woman to be on the cover of Life Magazine.
Day 14: The Wiz! The cast was amazing, and the music was out of this world! One of my favorite lines comes from the song "Ease on Down the Road" which says “Don’t you give up walking cause you gave up shoes”
