@JennyWakefiel12@garrettham_esq If that is so then you missed the words of God in Matthew 1:23 which specifically says that Mary is the God-bearer. She is the virgin who bore God who is called Emmanuel which means God is with us. Very clear.
@JennyWakefiel12 So what you are actually saying is that Mary is just a surrogate. That is a false teaching. She gave her DNA to Jesus and he shares her flesh and blood. You cannot split a person. Jesus has always been the second person of the Trinity…he didn’t become not God at his conception.
@SoWhatAaaand Of course we do. And we don’t have to FaceTime anyone as the universal catechism is available with everything the Church teaches that was passed down by the apostles “by word of mouth or by letter”. Completely footnoted with scripture, council writings, & early church fathers.
@JesusSaves1500 To believe in Him…means to do as he ask and live as he lived. He says we must be born again of water and spirit and that is baptism which forgives all our sins up to that moment and gives us his divine life when we receive the Holy Spirit in our soul. Afterwards…confess sins.
@TertiusIII@BeHumbleWithGod Not according to Clement of Rome’s
Letter to the Corinthians written in the first century. He speaks to apostolic succession. And then there is the bible itself in Acts 1:20-26…
@BIG_SGT_D The Catholic Church doesn’t teach that Jesus is going to come back and set up a literal kingdom on earth. So maybe he realized that authority is needed to help people not stray from the true teachings of Christ laid down to his apostles.
@willycooper@residentreformr Scripture says in “And Michal the daughter of Saul had no child till the day of her death.” Did she have children after she died??? Matthew wants to make the point of Jesus’ miraculous conception and birth during that time. Isn’t said to support marital relations afterwards.
@TertiusIII I am not a bot…I answer biblical statements that are false. You have zero answer to the fact that Eve does not have emnity with Satan. So use the “bot” excuse.
@TertiusIII The other offspring give testimony to Jesus….can’t be Israel of old but the new Israel…the Church. And Mary is the Mother of the Church. She gives birth to the one who rules with a rod of iron Psalm 2
@TertiusIII Impossible….Eve and Adam broke the covenant with God and entered under the realm of Satan. God says the Woman has emnity with Satan…can’t be Eve. Why do you think John always has Jesus call his Mother “Woman” at the wedding and at the cross and Rev 12. Make the connection…
@TertiusIII@NeilHatten I also support it with God’s words to the serpent in Genesis 3:15. He said he would put “emnity” between him and the woman. That means Satan will have no part of her…or her seed….Unlike the rest of humanity who are under his domain when we are born into this world.
@NeilHatten@TertiusIII The word full of Grace in the Greek is a different tense for Stephen. The word used for Mary uses a tense that she shows that she was always full of Grace….unlike the tense used for Stephen. And we can ask him to pray for us…just like Mary.
@LucasAgathon@sola_chad Jesus never broke the Sabbath…he broke the version of the Sabbath that the Jews had devised…and he showed that loving others by helping them on the Sabbath should never have been considered “work” in the first place.
@SoliDeoGloria_X Being baptized is how you enter the Kingdom of God (The Church aka the Body of Christ) John 3:5. A Christian is one who follows Christ and his teachings.
@Scott_W_Dunford@joshwhitlatch Really? His glorified body speaks to a future event after the resurrection and ascension…and yet he is still on earth in his earthly body before his passion has occurred. Same with the Last Supper…he can say this is my blood poured out for you though Calvary hadn’t happened.
