An audit in Rajasthan has reportedly uncovered an alleged тВ╣20 crore cattle shelter scam. According to the report, dead cows were shown as alive on paper to claim government grants, with duplicate and fake ear tags also allegedly used.
The audit also revealed that government funds were collected in the name of fodder and maintenance by registering more cattle than the actual number in many places, while payment was also obtained by using the same tag number repeatedly.
