Please retweet most council stray dog pounds in the UK will not allow the public to adopt. They will say they do not have the resources to assess all dogs and potential homes. They will keep a dog for 7 days, if there are no local rescue shelters with space, the dog, regardless of health, age and breed can be killed 📢📢📢
Rescue shelters across the UK are full‼️
Councils are still issuing new licences to breed.
None of the large animal charities are campaigning against breeding and online sales of pets.
The media never mention that councils kill dogs when rescue shelters are full.

@soullig @AngelMD1103 We have these type of trolley in the uk. But it’s not to stop us from taking them, they only lock up like this if the trolley hasn’t travelled through any of the checkout aisles before trying to exit.

This is Joanne Young, and she deserves to be lauded as a heroine along with Gisele Pelicot. Joanne has waived her right to anonymity to support other victims after her husband, former conservative Councillor Philip Young, pled guilty to having spent 13 years drugging and raping Joanne on video, and inviting other men to join in the abuse. He then shared these videos online over 500 times.

Five other men have been charged with various sexual offenses relating to their sexual abuse of Joanne. All have pled not guilty. In a just society, all six of these men would be facing the death penalty.
