Financial conversations are so different in the UK. We need an ISA type product and access to ETFs without deemed disposal. Having said that our pension structure is great.

@jamesplloyd @ogrady_colm ....and like the SSIAs we get very financially literate when we think our neighbour is getting a deal or advantage. We are a rich country that does all it can to slow wealth creation. I'm sure someone will analyse it as some post colonial embedded shame hangup.

@jamesplloyd @ogrady_colm No sense of vision or urgency on anything, ever. We peaked at the Brexit negotiations. A basic TD (20 year) pension (€46k) would require a pot of €1.3m. We have to get much more serious about giving all citizens the opportunity to invest - for themselves and their families.

@DanNeidle @Davidpr52119342 I refer to my twins as the SPVs and us parents as TopCo. Credit line from grandparents on occasion - often on anniversary of incorporation. Once SPV funding ceases they get an interest in any future voluntary liquidation of TopCo. Great business for them - risk free trade.

The more time I spend in Luxembourg the more I worry about the lack of Irish urgency on infrastructure. No metro in Lux but an above ground tram from the airport. Delivered in short order...oh and all public transport is free (and very clean).
