Sad moment on the doorstep today. An 80 year old lady told me she was turned away at the polling station for owning no relevant photo ID. "We fought for votes for women. I have voted in every election. Now they have taken it away." Hope the next government sorts this out.

I learnt from Sarah today that the Stirchley Library is the only remaining indoor public space in Stirchley.

Birmingham City Council has issued a consultation, but I learnt from speaking to residents that many found it difficult to complete and stopped before finishing it.
I will fight with the community to save the Library and against any future cuts.

Brill time watching Midsummer Night’s Dream @TheRSC Maya’s 1st Shakespeare play. Cast amazing. Really funny, wonderfully acted show with cool special effects & music. Really nice we got to chat to some cast afterwards, inc top bloke @realmatbaynton who played a wonderful Bottom.

Maya had to create a book in a box giving clues to her favourite book. She made her clues from polymer clay - a one eared rabbit with map in hand, a soup loving baby brother and several gifts of the goddess. @kmlarwood might know.
