This dramatic, if forgotten, image of Iron Age people building a timber-laced *Stone Fort in Scotland* was made by Alan Sorrell
It appears in Barbara Green's 1968 book *Prehistoric Britain*
We don't know if it depicts a particular hillfort but we love it π

Powerful, strong, emotional and inspiring start to day 2 of #Museums2024 with Michelle Charters. Now looking forward to the discussion with Michelle Gayle.
Day 9 of #museum30 and it's #Abstraction I'm choosing to share the sculpture I make. Away from work I like to explore art. I love working on 3D pieces especially metal and ability to apply texture and contort the form. #emergingartist#sculpture
#museum30 day 8 and it's #Storage. Alot of my role is cleaning, I do get to work with amazing collections. Not everything can be displayed, it's important to check stored items for pest activity. I love this quilted bedspread...and no sign of insects π«Ά #CollectionsCare
Loved hearing about Beyond the Bassline and different ways of working in the space and the value of it, the heritage and the sounds. Gutted to miss the exhibition #Museums2024@MuseumsAssoc
Refreshing to hear a passionate advocate of the museum and other creative sectors. I'm really excited to see how more can be done to encourage more children and young people to engage with museums and art galleries. @RhonddaBryant@MuseumsAssoc#Museums2024
Day 7 of #Museum30 and it's all about #Green that for me is about thoughtful use of resources. A really simple one is cutting tyvek sheets in half when repacking some textiles. We can still achieve a good seal and wrap two textiles instead of one.
Day 6 of #Museum30 and #Fragmented With tight resources, I can be room guiding, I love room guiding...but it can be problematic with a stop start approach to collections care work. To help minimise impact I prep my equipment in advance so I can fill the time gaps.
A wonderfully joyful session on relationship building. Full of joy, emotion, identity, accessible, equitable and celebrating the wonderful interactions in museum spaces. Thank you Esther, Sammy Callum and Elizabeth for sharing your experiences @MuseumsAssoc#Museums2024
Not conference-related but very important: it's #AntiBullyingWeek, so we're re-sharing Sticks and Stones: Bullying in Museums βοΈ
