Iran took out targets in Shia-majority Iraq & Alevi-controlled Syria alongside Pakistan. Pakistan responded military & Iraq is going to the UNSC.

Pakistan has the 2nd largest Shia population in the world. Iran is at odds with Shia majority Azerbaijan. Iran supports Hamas (Sunni dominated).

The standoff is purely for geostrategic reasons alone. Don't let your in-group bias or out-group discrimination cloud your judgement. Nations act out of national interest not sectarian ideologies.
