When a young Nigerian begins moving from street to street announcing that petrol has reportedly reached N1,562 per litre, government has entered dangerous political territory.

This is no longer an economic statistic buried inside a report. The hardship now has a town crier.

And President Tinubu's APC should remember 2015.

Goodluck Jonathan entered that election with the enormous machinery of incumbency behind him, but something more powerful had accumulated among ordinary Nigerians: “We are tired.”

Tinubu could face an even harsher version of that sentiment in 2027 if living costs remain unbearable.

Because petrol does not stop at the filling station.

₦1,562 enters the bus fare.

It enters the farmer's transportation costs.

It enters the generator powering a small business.

It enters the price of tomatoes transported hundreds of kilometres.

Eventually, it enters virtually everything an ordinary Nigerian buys.

APC can continue explaining subsidy removal, market forces and long-term reform. Those arguments deserve to be heard. But Nigerians are equally entitled to ask:

Where is the relief?

Where are the savings from subsidy removal?

When does sacrifice become prosperity?

How much more must households absorb before the promised destination arrives?

The most dangerous political development for any incumbent is not opposition propaganda. It is when ordinary citizens begin converting their personal economic pain into political conclusions.

That young man walking through the streets announcing the new fuel price may therefore represent something much bigger.

He is announcing ₦1,562 today.

But APC should worry about what millions of Nigerians could announce with their PVCs in 2027:

“We are tired.”

Tinubu's reelection is not guaranteed.

If Nigerians conclude that four years of sacrifice produced too little relief, the ballot box can deliver the final verdict.

2015 taught Nigeria that incumbency can fall.

2027 may teach APC the same lesson.

After my wife delivered, her breast milk had not started flowing, and we were advised not to give the baby glucose water. After more than six hours without feeding, a senior nurse recommended NAN 1 formula.

A young Nigerian built AI smart glasses that let blind people walk without a cane or a guide.

His name is Khalifa Aminu, and what he made is not the smart glasses you've been seeing online.

So how does it work?
The glasses have sensors, GPS and AI inside them. When the person is walking, the sensors pick up anything in front of them. A wall, a pole, a car parked on the road, somebody standing there. The glasses alert them before they hit it, so they can walk around it themselves.

No stick. Nobody holding their hand.

The GPS tells them where they are at every point. But the part that got me is what happens when the person gets lost.

The glasses track their exact location and send it straight to the phone of whoever is taking care of them. WhatsApp or email. So their mother or brother or friend can find them in minutes instead of searching for hours.

If you've ever watched a blind person try to cross a road in Lagos you know that fear is real. This takes it away.

And he's not even done.
He's now adding voice to it, so the glasses can actually talk to the user and describe what's around them. Staircase ahead. Busy road coming. Someone on your left.

That's when it stops being a gadget and becomes a guide that never leaves your side.
He built this himself. No big lab, no foreign funding. Just one young guy who saw a problem and refused to ignore it.
