The sudden reappearance of al-Qaeda in Iraq and Syria may not be the only plot twist.
Links between al-Shabaab and the Houthis have been an open secret for a while now.
@BritishPsycho__ Yeah, not that I’d vote for it, but there’s definitely room for a European-style right wing party in the UK. Socially *and* economically nationalist, and anti-American. Could scoop up a low double digits percentage of the vote, especially if the Iran war continues to go tits up.
@BritishPsycho__ I completely agree, but that party’s shameless track record with Hindu fascists completely disqualifies them from speaking on the matter
@sharghzadeh@ayatr0llah Agreed, this is true of my dad’s side. Always complaining about Communism (understandably), but now their country is free and doing very well some of them go there once a year for a holiday (at the most).
@qafilaseeker @kashmirighazi @Hassan_alQadri He has changed his views over the years. I have met him a few times, he used to be aligned with the Shirazis, but is now more mainstream.
@noplaceforsheep The statement claiming responsibility was definitely not written by an Arab or Iranian, or indeed any kind of Islamist. Maybe the attack itself was real and it’s only the claim that was a false flag, but something dodgy is definitely going on.
@sharghzadeh@History__Speaks Interestingly, many in the UK are saying that the slogan “Death to the IDF” is racist because the IDF is a conscript army.
Therefore, is “Death to the IRGC” racist as well? Really makes you think!
@RabbidTheNabb1t@PolitlcsUK@thetimes In 2030 my AI personal assistant will sign a rental contract for me with my AI landlord (I am not allowed to own a home because my AI generated social credit score is too low)
@ireallyhateyou Such a loss. Seems he was radicalised by the algorithm like so many boomers. I think everyone in this country has seen someone they love go down that path.
