1,000 days since the genocide in Gaza began.
1,000 days of the open slaughter of innocent civilians, and the death of the decency of the so called civilized world.
Israel's air and ground operations in Lebanon have hit UNESCO-listed Roman ruins in Tyre, pummeled the Mamluk-era market in Nabatieh and razed centuries-old towns along the southern border https://t.co/cVMpPSom1E
#DayoftheSeafarer - Global study finds maritime sector lagging on digital skills: 80% of seafarers rarely get digital training; only 13% say training matches onboard systems. Urgent action needed on standards, training & investment. @IMOHQ https://t.co/098Ji38D0G
An independent U.N. commission said that the Israeli military had deliberately targeted children in Gaza, amounting to genocide.
The commission said it found a pattern of behavior that reflected a strategy to destroy the future of Palestinians. https://t.co/SndPKA1jDL
One of the killings involved a ten day old baby being shot by an Israeli sniper in broad daylight whilst the baby was being breastfed : an independent UN Commission says Israeli authorities and security forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children resulting in genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Gaza, and war crimes in the occupied West Bank
Very important to note that the UN Commission of Inquiry's conclusion is not only that Israel is indiscriminately killing children in Gaza, but *deliberately* targeting them.
In all my years covering conflicts in the Middle East, I've never before seen armed forces *deliberately* targeting children. But the receipts are there for all to see...

Gaza's largely displaced people flee their sweltering tents for the sea as temperatures rise in summer. But since Israeli bombardment destroyed much of the enclave's infrastructure, Gazans are bathing and washing their clothes in waters filthy with sewage https://t.co/im3EdKjWOm
I am deeply alarmed by the detention of Sama Safi in an Israeli prison. Sama, a 20-year-old Palestinian American student, was taken from her home in the middle of the night and continues to be held without charges. This is part of a disturbing pattern of the Israeli government denying Palestinians their basic due process rights, often at risk to their health and safety. The United States has a responsibility to protect its citizens abroad, and we must hold our allies to basic standards of equal justice under the law. I am urging Secretary Rubio and the Trump Administration to use every diplomatic tool available to bring Sama home safely.
