Recognized! 🏅 Grateful to @utgssa for this Certificate of Recognition for my role on the Advisory Board (2025/2026). Proud to serve the science community at my alma mater. Let’s go, Gambia! 🇬🇲🔬 #UTGSSA#AlumniPride#ScienceStudent
Senegal score in the final minutes but the goal gets ruled out. Morocco wins a last-minute penalty. Senegal players protested and walk off the pitch. Sadio Mané calls them back on. Morocco misses the controversial penalty and Senegal score to take the lead in extra time. This is AFCON!!
@wickidest_skeng So sorry about your lost, bro.
May the good Lord soften the burden in the grave on her.
Our mothers are our safe heaven and the vacuum they create can't be filled ever.
And the will of Allah is unquestionable, so just take heart.
Once again do accept my condolences 🙏
Before you feel bad for the kids doing 3–5 years in jail, remember this is a child who'd pick a 5 year jail term over this fate. A kid who may never reach his potential. A kid whose life is forever altered. A kid who'll never be the same. A family under financial burden forever.
It’s not the govt’s job to raise our kids. Misbehaving youths come from homes, someone gave them the car keys, and parents bail them out after arrests.
Mbading, raise your kids!

Celebrating Academic Brilliance!
Sira Ceesay Soars with Eight A1s in WASSCE, Inspiring Girls in STEM
Sira Ceesay, the dynamic president of the Girls in STEM club at St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School, has once again proven her academic brilliance, achieving extraordinary results in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). With an impressive haul of eight A1s, one B2, and one B3, Sira has solidified her place as a beacon of excellence and an inspiration for young women in STEM across The Gambia.
Already celebrated as the Most Outstanding Student in the 12th Fanta Science and Mathematics Quiz, Sira’s latest achievement showcases her unwavering dedication. She attributes her success to disciplined study habits, relentless practice with past exam questions, and the power of prayer. But it’s her involvement with Women in STEM (WiSTEM) that truly shaped her mindset. “WiSTEM taught me that STEM has no gender,” Sira said. “To every girl out there, believe in your brilliance—you belong here.”
Sira’s journey is a testament to resilience and self-belief. Growing up in a community where opportunities for girls in STEM can be limited, she has shattered stereotypes with her determination and talent. Her dream is to study Biomedical Engineering, with a vision to revolutionize healthcare technology in The Gambia and empower the next generation of female scientists and engineers.
Her story resonates beyond the classroom, igniting hope and ambition in young girls nationwide. Sira’s message is clear: with hard work, faith, and confidence, no goal is out of reach. As she prepares for her future, The Gambia celebrates a rising star whose brilliance is lighting the way for others to follow.
Sira Ceesay’s triumph is not just a personal victory—it’s a rallying cry for girls everywhere to embrace their potential and transform the world through STEM.
Forests fall, shores erode, rivers choke. We act NOW, standing against illegal sand mining and cleaning beaches. Not tomorrow’s leaders, but today’s guardians. We are The Gambia’s roots, rain, tide.

What BAC achieved in just 2 years under Yankuba Darboe is remarkable.
UDP isn’t perfect, but we’re a far better alternative than our rivals.
In 2026, follow our lead! Don’t lie to the people. Don’t steal from them.
We have a country to build.

This man and activism is inseparable. A different kind of leader, one not easily understood by all, but deserving of acceptance in the evolving story of our nation.
Rest in peace, Abdoulie. I fondly remember those early days of our career journeys when we both joined GCAA together as HROs in 1997 and sharing the same office until I left to join MRC. You have gone but you will never be forgotten particularly for your kindness.
🏆🇬🇲 WE WON the 2025 Green Award! Humbled by my 1st national recognition for climate action. Big love to @EarthGambia & Abdoulie Ceesay—true champs. This is for every community we’ve fought for. To my wife, family & supporters—you made this possible. The work continues! 💚
