Welcome to Kenya, the first African home of the Our Ocean Conference. As we host the 11th edition, Africa steps forward not just to listen, but to lead the global conversation on ocean health.
From 16th–18th June 2026, we unite to protect what matters most. Our mission is clear: Our Ocean, Our Heritage, Our Future.

Today, we joined hands with @EUinKenya, Finnish Red Cross & @LabourSPKE to launch an In-depth Study on Inclusion and Exclusion Barriers and the Scalability of Social Protection in Kenya.
Rooted in the Kenya Social Protection Policy (2023), the study findings will guide policy, programmes and partnerships that put people first placing a special focus on communities historically left behind at the margins: women, persons with disabilities, informal workers and pastoralist populations in Turkana, Garissa and Tana River counties.
Proud of the continuous effort by @KenyaRedCross staff and volunteers in Lamu.
Search and rescue services at sea are essential for protecting communities navigating the seas.
Congratulations @KenyaRedCross on running 64th Annual General Assembly wand showcasing the impressive achievements from 2023! @danskrodekors is proud to have partnered with you in these excellent achievements! We look forward to an even greater 2024!Well done @IrshadIdris
As the leadership in Nairobi we are asking the Police to allow the Kenya Redcross to attend to the wounded. The Redcross staff are being fired at as they try to save lives! What madness is this?
#RutoMustGo
Kenya Redcross is doing an amazing job.
Kindly let them do the job. Don’t target them because they are treating the injured without any bias.

Our vehicles have been attacked.
Staff and volunteers injured.
We have no contact or role in transporting persons other than the injured.
The rumours must stop. We can't provide life-saving interventions without access and safety for our staff and volunteers.
It is crucial that we are granted access to continue our humanitarian efforts without hindrance.
It is quite unfair that we are being accused of whisking members of parliament while our staff and volunteers put their lives in danger to provide critical medical care to those in need. #NotATarget
As the flood crisis in Kenya continues to escalate, the efforts of @KenyaRedCross to support affected people and communities continue.
This second IFRC-DREF brings the total loan towards the emergency appeal to CHF 1,000,000.
Thank you to all IFRC-DREF donors! https://t.co/fE00Qp5WC5
It is now the second time Kenya is affected by floods in less than a year.
We need emergency assistance like the one provided by @KenyaRedCross in support of Government efforts.
But we also need longer term solutions to the climate crisis.
