@sotonDSN I suspect there are many fellow dsn’s with very little energy this evening. I take my hat off to you all because today must have been full of excitement but terribly hard too. Hope you’re all able to take a moment to breathe (& enjoy the scent of houseplants)
@ShivGaffney@FlashSOTU52 I wonder how many of us have supplies, long forgotten about that we could dig out now?
You’re doing wonderful things Shiv, wonderful.
@FlashSOTU52@ShivGaffney Oh gosh, the memories of those long syringes are both horrifying and filled with gratitude that I had easy access to them when I was first diagnosed.

Today?
7th November 1920 – Frederick Banting, paid a visit to scientist John Macleod.
To put their minds together
To discuss? The creation of #Insulin
The rest is history
Now that’s kinda special day - don’t you think so? 💙
I’m feeling on the verge myself 8 weeks in with baby number 3. Lots to unpack following his NICU journey & the desire to be well to keep my tiny humans safe & happy esp. when hubby’s on nightshifts. I imagine there are many in similar situations during this phase of life
Hi @parthaskar I remember seeing a tweet where you asked about priority groups when loop is available. I’d like to suggest pregnancy & postpartum (I include dads in postpartum) due to the risk of burnout. Perhaps it could be more discretionary if the risk is high?
@clarentina Congratulations! Trimester 2 is mental, just as you think you’ve worked it out, it’s all change again. Extended boluses, super boluses and TBRs are your friend. Also, your insulin activity time may have changed & be shorter, worth looking at. Eg I changed mine from 4 to 3 hrs
Nothing about this thread is ok & it needs to change ASAP!
Any advice for @becky1507@DSNforumUK@parthaskar
We know the postpartum period is like falling off a cliff (lots of us trying to change that) but what’s happening here is like she’s been pushed! #gbdoc#doc
Remember when my diabetes team said they'd come see me straight after I had a baby to change my insulin pump settings and give me advice on diabetes post pregnancy and it's been 21 days now and I still haven't seen them
