Anyone that tells you that the pitch positive pledge has made the slightest difference to the absurd dance clients make agencies do is simply lying. Either to themselves or to @Campaignmag

Not sure which agencies are on the Amazon pitch but a brief that lands on a Sunday? I’d assume everyone pulled out of it because they’re so committed to the pitch positive pledge? And employee mental wellbeing? https://t.co/uTf09VkSWp
This made us cross @TheMediaLeader https://t.co/1HcTOkWMRb
A PR puff piece masquerading as ‘opinion’, it assumes that media agencies are trying to scam everyone (more money in ‘not media’ Brian) and it assumes clients are clueless idiots*
(*We acknowledge the irony of this)
@MrHarryLang@johnnieego Oh that’s totally true. We think client side is just as stressful and painful and pressured - it’s just different pressures and pain, right? More honesty both sides is the answer
This thread is illuminating & frustrating in equal measure. Illuminating because it shows how clients see us as agencies. But frustrating because lots of the comments seem to think that agencies exist to do their jobs. Which is fine. But maybe you should pay us fairly for that.
Client-side marketing chums,
I'm working on a short series based around what clients wish their agencies better understood. I have a few starters from my own time on the other side, but what things would you want your agencies to have more knowledge of please?
It’s lovely that all the agencies are putting on events for world mental health day. But maybe keep an eye on the people who don’t go to any events because you’ve oversold them to multiple clients. A wellness hour and a free latte just makes you hateful disingenuous leaders.
There’s a fabulous irony about a “this is our AI journey” call being done on a global glitchy teams call where people still have to ask for ‘next slide please’
Have a lot of time for 7stars but winning a pitch because “data-driven approach to place programmatic ads”? Who came second? Some cross new biz teams out there we reckon. https://t.co/k6wOrwYDWH
@lisajthompson18 Oh this is grotesque. Nobody should be asked to come back from a holiday early. And if they are then buying them some beer and pizza is not an equitable pay off
have heard that at least three agencies pulled out of this pitch because they couldn't staff it. one of the most toxic brands imaginable.
