A massive police manhunt is underway for Jabulani Moyo, a Zimbabwean national who escaped custody this morning after two SAPS officers were brutally shot and killed while transporting him from the Roodepoort Magistrate’s Court in Gauteng.

The audacious attack, also saw the officers’ firearms stolen.

The suspect, Jabulani Moyo, fled the scene in the police vehicle, which has since been found.

A mother cries for justice

16-year-old Thapelo Motha is now in ICU after he was allegedly beaten by a group of boys at Thuto Lesedi Secondary School in Vosloorus. His only “crime”? They wanted his school bag.
According to his mom, Nomthandazo Ndaba (39), Thapelo was attacked by bullies on 23 July. She got a shocking call from the school saying her son was in a fight — but when she got there, he was bleeding, vomiting, and barely breathing.

He was rushed to hospital and admitted straight into ICU. He had a fractured nose and needed surgery on his left eye.
“He never told me he was being bullied,” she said, heartbroken. “Now he’s in hospital fighting to see again. All because they wanted to take his bag…”
The case has now been reported to police, but the family wants more action and justice.

#RT [MURDER SUSPECT SOUGHT BY KWAZULU-NATAL POLICE]

Police in KwaZulu-Natal are seeking the assistance of community members in locating 20-year-old Zethembe Joyful Mzulwini, who is commonly known as “Zwe” from Mpusheni Reserve in Folweni.

The wanted suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition in January 2025 and was later released on bail, however he violated his bail conditions.

While on bail, Zethembe allegedly committed a double murder when he reportedly shot and killed two siblings at their home at Mpusheni Reserve on 28 April 2025. A warrant of his arrest was issued by the Nsimbini Magistrate’s Court on 5 May 2025.

Police are appealing to anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of Zethembe to contact Detective Constable Khuzwayo on 082 3348 323 or make use of the Crime Stop 08600 10111. Tip-offs can also be relayed via the MySAPS App.
