Military spokesman for Hamas's Qassam Brigades Abu Obeida:
○ "The resistance has adhered to the terms of the ceasefire agreement. Despite all the enemy’s attempts at deception, lies, and manipulation, we have chosen to abide by the agreement to spare the blood of our people."
○ "The enemy’s leadership is still trying to evade the agreement, seeking American cover to continue its aggression against our people."
○ "The world has seen the good health condition of the enemy’s captives, despite the difficulty of preserving their lives amid the brutal war."
○ "The world has witnessed how the enemy has and continues to mistreat our captives, who recount horrific testimonies of criminal treatment."
○ "The occupation is responsible for the deaths of its captives, in addition to their suffering and its evasion of agreements."
○ "Any escalation of aggression against our people will lead to the deaths of more enemy captives."

I’m totally baffled by people whose ideals about coexistence, peace, & reconciliation between Palestinians & Israelis haven’t moved after watching genocide, starvation, destruction & atrocities live-streamed in 4k for 16 months

A few things to say on this.
1. the israeli filmmaker centres the safety of settlers— ‘we must be good to the natives otherwise we are not safe’; it is self-interested paternalistic bullshit disconnected from the struggle for our liberation and erases the structural intrinsic UNsafety of the zionist project.
2. low standards and heavy reliance on PR wins. I believe we are beyond ‘people need to be educated’— people have made their choices around where they stand in the face of unspeakable horrors we have witnessed for the last 16+ months. a similarly joint project, and very good documentary, Five Broken Cameras was nominated for an Oscar in 2013. what did this alter? Palestine has been ravaged and stolen even more in those years since, Gaza faced massacres under continued siege, the settler violence and land expropriation across the West Bank has intensified unlike anything we’ve seen before, apartheid and land seizures continue, Palestine disappears, the right of return never felt further away in the past decade or so.
3. I know it can be hard to stomach when you want the world to see Palestinian stories, but those stories are already there, they are everywhere, and this was a whitewashing affair for the liberal zionists, the settlers who call themselves peacekeepers while living on exclusive jewish settlements. we have a responsibility to tell and share our stories divorced from settler intervention. they are exploiting the land, what makes you think anything else, like a film project, is not an exploitative affair? they want to be the prison guards who appear to be the peace keepers
On 'Yuval Abraham' (a name as preposterous as the idea of a Jewish colony in Palestine) and the Oscars:
It's tiring to even have to say this but there are no 'Israeli' anti-Zionists. They are occupiers living on stolen land, and some engage in egregious publicity stunts to even squat on the concept of Palestinian loss to soothe their own rotten conscience.
It is doubtful whether there are more than a handful of Jewish anti-Zionists anywhere, particularly if we assess anti-Zionism on a *material* basis rather than on words or sentiments.
After all, how many Jewish martyrs have there been in the past 140 on the path to liberate Palestine from Zionism? How many Jews have engaged in military action against Zionist targets in that period? We can talk about 'Jewish anti-Zionism' once there are organisations at war with the Jewish state called Kata'ib Nabi Dawud and Liwa Nabi Musa.
Too many gullible people want to see the best in the colonists and imagine that the coloniser has a role to play in liberating the Levant.

Sisterhood is powerful.

If you want to understand, watch this documentary, now free on YouTube. It's and excellent historic and contemporary primer for those who are still confused. And it's produced by a Palestinian and a Lebanese. It also defiantly shows our unapologetic support for the resistance wherever they are. https://t.co/8uGerpmSjL
This is how documentaries about Palestine should be.
Advise everyone to watch this documentary, which covers events up until the Zionist war on Lebanon.
The Palestinian resistance is not an alien entity to the Palestinian cause, it is its core.
No Other Land could have easily been produced by Basel Arda alone. It was his life, after all, and his footage. His family. His land. His story. But we all know that none—except us—would have given it the time of day, or believed it if they did. So the liberal zionist co-agent comes along to "give voice to the voiceless" as liberals like to say. The liberal zionist, who peddled the rape hoax for months, who couldn't say the word genocide, then equates the wholesale slaughter of half a million Palestinians with Hamas' singular military operation to capture Israelis in order get their own hostages back. The liberal hops on the back of Palestinian pain and rides that wave as he makes a name for himself, and money. He is the confident one speaking before an audience, while Basel, dignified and strong, is nervous, because state systems of supremacy produce internal, intangible personal realities, just as they produce material disparities. Basel and his family were generous and welcoming of Yuval, but Yuval has a long way to go before he is worthy of them. There can be no place in the world for zionism anymore, liberal or otherwise.
My heartfelt congratulations to Basel and his family.
"Our allies are the free people in the world, regardless of their ideology—whether progressive, Marxist, Leninist, or Islamic." - Listen to a Palestinian fighter discussing with red. media the concept of alliance in the resistance.
