@Lksfirecapt SoCal and AZ are two of the most dangerous places I’ve seen for flash flooding. Rains in the mountains many miles away and you’re driving on a road that passes over or through an arroyo seco oblivious to the impending doom! Saw an 18 wheeler and a car get washed away in 2013.
@WD9EWK@abraxas3d Can anyone explain or point me to sources of more information about why Mexico has been so restrictive towards foreign ham operations? Just would like to understand the history / reasons.
@VE6LK I have a 720A for a future project that exhibits zucchini sensitivity on some bands but not others. (On another note, I used a 720A mobile for 6 years until 1992. It was a great time!)
@VE6LK Technically they are separate distinct entities. However, I’m closer to the eastern provinces than I am to most of the US states so I would consider many states to be more so DX rather than eastern Canada. Lastly, I’m happy to QSO with all of them.
VERY COOL SOFTWARE!
"Added support for a parallel loop configuration to my calculator. One advantage of a parallel loop is having lower loop inductance which allows higher value capacitors to be used to tune the magloop antenna."

@w8lid Despite years of education efforts and getting the word out it is disconcerting the number of people that I find, who just don’t take arc flash seriously. The interesting thing with arc flash is that it doesn’t care!
