The New Brunswick Covid Memorial project is a volunteer initiative dedicated to remembering the lives lost to COVID-19 in NB. We set up our first memorial pop-up in Fredericton on NB day 2022 to remember 443 lives lost but not forgotten. Contact us to organize one in your area.
Thank you for this @DailyGleaner , we appreciate you taking the time to bring attention to the memorial, those lost and that "people are still dying" 💔

We are so grateful for this CBC article on the NB Covid-19 Memorial project installation this weekend.
CBC speaking to the artist that inspired us @sbfirstenberg with her In America: Remember (@inamericaflags) installation was especially impactful ❤️

Over the last 24 hours we have had the opportunity to talk to people all over Canada and hear their thoughts. Each one had something kind and encouraging to say.
@loribgood1 We are so sorry for your loss. If remembering him and others lost gives even one person impacted some comfort, all the planning and work that went into this was worth it.
We have collected the memorial in Fredericton - thank you Frederictonians for leaving it intact so that we can reuse the materials and our banner for future memorial installations. Thank you for remembering with us!
We will have a statement to share later tonight!
Heartwarming to see that the first New Brunswick Covid-19 memorial stayed up overnight and we hope it can remain for the rest of the day as well. Grateful for the community's respect and rememberance.
It can be found across from the legislature in Fredericton by the gallery.
The New Brunswick Covid-19 Memorial, with its first location across the street from the New Brunswick Legislature on the green next to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery was inspired by the United States Covid Memorial in 2021 in front of the White House https://t.co/TjLlQ0wATg
