🔹NCB today launched the Voluntary Code of Conduct (VCC) for the Chemical Industry at Ahmedabad, calling upon manufacturers, importers, exporters, distributors and traders to partner in preventing diversion of precursor chemicals and other substances used in the illicit manufacture of synthetic drugs.

🔹Releasing the VCC, DG NCB Shri Anurag Garg emphasised that industry vigilance is critical to identify suspicious transactions, emerging precursor chemicals and diversion risks linked to synthetic drugs and New Psychoactive Substances (NPS).

🔹The conference brought together over 300 representatives from the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors, including Dr. Satish Waman Wagh (CHEMEXCIL), Dr. Jaimin R. Vasa (GCA), Shri Bhalchandrasinh Raorane (FII), Shri Chanakya Contractor (GCCI) and Dr. Viranchi Shah (PHARMEXCIL).

🔹The VCC promotes responsible chemical stewardship, supply-chain security, customer due diligence and timely reporting of suspicious activities—strengthening public-private partnership for a #NashaMuktBharat.

Modi govt is resolved for a ‘Drug-Free India’.

Glad to share that through ‘Operation RAGEPILL’, our agencies have achieved the first-ever seizure of Captagon, the so-called “Jihadi Drug”, worth ₹182 crore.

The busting of the drug consignment destined for the Middle East and the arrest of a foreign national stand out as shining examples of our commitment to zero tolerance against drugs.

I repeat we will clamp down on every gram of drugs entering India or leaving the country using our territory as the transit route. Kudos to the brave and vigilant warriors of the NCB. @narcoticsbureau

🤝 1st Quarterly NCB Zonal Directors’ Conference 2026 concluded in New Delhi with all field formations of NCB reaffirming their commitment to effectively combat drug trafficking & drug abuse across the country over the next three years.

🔷 DG, NCB called upon all officers to achieve monthly milestones in line with the vision of Hon’ble Home Minister Amit Shah to meet the goals of the roadmap through a network-centric approach.

🔷 Two-day conference focused on effective prosecution, optimal use of JCC & NCORD mechanisms, bringing fugitives to justice & a detailed review of enforcement & coordination functions of NCB Zonal offices to gear up for implementation of the roadmap.

🔷 Senior officers of NCB also expressed collective resolve in realizing the vision of a Drug-Free India & building robust enforcement frameworks for a safer, drug-free nation.

Rashtriya Raksha University inaugurated the Basic Induction Training of Sepoys of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today at its campus. The inauguration was graced by Sh. Patil Ketan Baliram, IPS, Addl. Director, NCB Ahmedabad.

Scheduled from 23rd March to 3rd May 2026, the six-week training program aims to strengthen the professional foundation and operational proficiency of NCB personnel through structured sessions on law enforcement, and fieldcraft essentials.

This initiative aligns with the Hon’ble Home Minister’s vision of a Drug-Free India, fostering a unified effort toward strengthening national resolve against narcotics trafficking and abuse.

🤝Quarterly UT-Level JCC meeting for Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh held in hybrid mode at BSF Frontier HQ, Jammu to strengthening inter-agency coordination in narco intelligence & enforcement.

🔷️The meeting chaired by DDG, NCB (NW Region) was attended by officers of BSF, ED, Income Tax, DRI J&K & Drug Controller of J&K along with ANTFs & Excise Departments.

🔷️Discussion focused on drone-based drug drops & Punjab linkages, identification of top 10 syndicates operating in J&K, mapping of hawala operators, hotspots & networks, analysis of districts with low seizures to identify enforcement gaps, scrutiny of suspicious financial transactions of narco offenders & drug scenario in UT Ladakh.

Our govt is shattering drug cartels at unprecedented pace.

Fiercely pursuing the top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top approach to the investigation of drugs, a breakthrough was achieved by seizing 328 kg of methamphetamine worth ₹262 crore in New Delhi and arresting two. The operation was a brilliant example of seamless multi-agency coordination to achieve PM Modi Ji's vision for a drug-free India.
