Yesterday, we hosted our annual Scots poetry afternoon. We had a wonderful time showcasing the talents of our young people. A huge well done to everyone and big thank you to our judges for attending and taking the difficult job off Mrs McNulty’s hands! 🏴🌟 @StuartPoet

‘Railway raised on piles’ to cross the Yellow Moss. This branch off the Glasgow-Carlisle line was to serve the ill-fated New Cumnock Iron Works. It later served the Bank Coal Company while a branch from that line served the Lanemark Coal company.
