Disney Historian, Nostalgic and Former CM. I WAS the last to pass this way. (Maelstrom) Tweets are mine and represent only myself. I run @historyatdisney pages.
Just a reminder I am more active now over on π¦
I have been doing a lot more posting there so make sure you go give me a follow to see live updates of our final day!
@BrianPMiles Donβt broadcast it too much but as sheβs getting older Iβm getting more comfortable putting it out there.
Itβs the reason Iβve been removed from social media. Focusing on being present and involved with her. Now with her a bit older, I feel like I can step back in a bit more.
Parenting update:
After watching the Three Caballeros followed by Melody Time my 5 year old has now decided that her favorite Disney film characters are Donald and the Aracuan bird.
Iβve never seen her crack up so hard π
I was reading through Disneyβs 250th celebrations and caught this from Disney Cruise Line.
Pretty cool they are getting the ships involved and pretty special using the Wonder. I feel like she gets left out of a lot of things.
Rivers of Light was hyped as the nighttime spectacular Animal Kingdom badly needed. It was an ambitious, beautifully unique show, but the original version lasted just over a year and a half. Eventually, Disney killed it entirely. But why? Did you even get to see it?
@TheSixthBearRug She loved it. She could relate after going on the attraction so I think that helped her connect with it.
Some parts didnβt keep her attention (slower songs) but overall she said she liked it
Big parenting win tonight:
Went to pick a movie for family movie night and the kiddo requested The Three Caballeros. Maybe itβs because we were at EPCOT a couple weeks ago but Iβll take it.
