In way bigger news than the Switch 2 launching, we are officially partnering up with @Somnia_Network to take Sparkball and our @liveSparkadia ecosystem to the next level.
We accidentally met @0xPaulThomas months ago at EthDenver and talked with him about Web3 Gaming for 5 minutes before we knew who was who. Hundreds of conversations at conferences, but some stick with you the next week - that was clearly someone who saw this space the same way we did.
We’re already kicking into HIGH VOLTAGE with Somnia, with multiple game nights and reward campaigns leading into Steam Next Fest (next week!).
Their team has moved LIGHTNING fast and already massively overdelivered on tight timelines. If the last couple weeks are any indication, we’re about to do some great things together.
Today is a slow news day for Sparkball compared to tomorrow, we are just getting started. Until then, welcome to our new Sparkniacs? (Niaballers? Somballs?)!
Here’s a quick brief on who we are:
@playSparkball = 4v4 sports brawler on PC. It’s REALLY fun and you should come play with us
@liveSparkadia = Our IP, ecosystem platform, and community. Adds all new ways to engage with the gameplay of Sparkball
BE OPTI = A better world can be PLAYED into existence. Be positive, make friends, and help Sparkadia be a happy community, not a toxic one.
Only one thing left… LET’S PLAY SPARKBALL!!!

Towns Team: You’re at Risk of Losing Your Core Community
@joethecoworkerx@townsxyz@coinbilly@benrbn@TownsProtocol
Lately, you've received a surge of attention - largely due to your token announcement with heavy airdrop incentives. But right now, you're making a critical mistake: calling your most loyal users “sybils” just because they’re asking clear, valid questions you don’t want to answer.
Since the April 15th announcement, activity in the project has exploded. You've publicly celebrated increased revenue and growth. But this wasn’t driven by organic trust or community expansion - it came from a wave of sybils aggressively farming points. That’s exactly what real users tried to warn you about.
Before the token announcement, none of us cared about rewards or snapshots. People were contributing because they genuinely believed in the product. It was pure enthusiasm. But once the token was teased, there was zero clarity about any snapshot - and that’s a critical point. Now that the value of points is obvious, early contributors have every right to ask: were we recognized at all, or treated the same as those who showed up after the airdrop was announced?
If you wanted silence - you shouldn't have made an announcement. You could’ve launched everything quietly and dealt with the results afterward. But once you go public with a token and airdrop narrative, you invite scrutiny. And that scrutiny is exactly what you're now trying to suppress.
The community is pointing out abnormal activity and wants to help identify abuse. Instead, you dismiss them all as sybils. But you can't blame users for caring about points — you introduced them and made them the core engagement metric.
If your only goal was to simulate growth and extract value before launch, you’re on the same path as Zora, ZK, Scroll and others who lost community trust. You keep saying Towns is for the community — this is your moment to prove it.
The community is asking two clear questions:
1. Was any snapshot taken of early users?
2. How do you respond to the Echo sale deck slide showing a token launch in April?
Many projects claim they’re “building community” - but in reality, they use reward announcements to farm engagement, monetize the hype, drop a few crumbs, and quietly disappear.
If that’s your real plan, fine - just don’t pretend this is about the community.
But if you genuinely want to build something long-term with real people, then the lack of clarity right now is a major mistake.
As someone who interacts with your users daily, it’s becoming impossible to answer their completely fair questions or justify your silence. We’re not here for conflict - we’re asking for clarity.
I love your product. It’s bookmarked in my browser. I’ve reviewed it in a video. I’ve written over 50 posts about Towns in Telegram. The app is on my phone’s home screen, and I check my group every day. Your community is still here - waiting for a real answer.
The $ZORA token airdrop is a prime example of total injustice in Web3.
🔵 Instead of fairly rewarding active users, the @Zora team:
1️⃣ Sent nearly the entire drop to their own wallets
2️⃣ Gave pennies to regular users who spent real money minting and growing the ecosystem
3️⃣ Promised automatic distribution before the listing, but:
– At first, for 2.5 hours, they were selling the tokens themselves on the exchange at a good price.
– only then quietly opened the claim portal
4️⃣ Promoted "referral activity", then banned the most active users for it!
ℹ️ I’m just one example:
– I created dozens of collections
– Brought in thousands of referrals
– My links generated millions of mints
💰 My wallet was showing an allocation of 34 million $ZORA in the checker. Even after the so-called “30x reduction,” I should’ve received over 1 million tokens. Instead, I got banned and received zero. Not because of a bug — but simply for being too active. And there are many more like me.
🚨 The dev team you should remember forever as scammers:
🚩 @js_horne
🚩 @dg_goens
🚩 @tbtstl
🚩 @slavakim
🚩 @stevejang
🏦 I honestly can’t understand how top funds like @cbventures, @HaunVentures, @KindredVenturesinves ted $60 million in this team. Do you seriously not care that you gave your money to scammers who did everything to deceive their community? By funding this mess, you’ve stained your own reputations. You’ve helped bring this scam to life!
🛂 The @Zora team is yet another example of a fraudulent Web3 project that @SECGov should definitely investigate. These are the kinds of people who belong in prison. It’s because of teams like this that fraud continues to thrive in crypto.
⛔️ Zora didn’t reward the community. They exploited it. This isn’t a mistake. It’s their model. Maximum for themselves — minimum for the people.
⛔️ Zora is not Web3. It’s a centralized scam disguised as decentralization.
‼️ Our mission now is to destroy this scam:
👉 Sell every NFT you ever minted on Zora
👉 Withdraw all your funds from their ecosystem
👉 Forget this scam forever — but never forget the developers who created it.
