U.S. diplomats receive training in the history of U.S. foreign relations at NFATC. This knowledge is critical for diplomats to develop a strong understanding of the relationships between the U.S. and other countries today.
@HistoryAtState has published new foreign policy documents from the administration of President Jimmy Carter.
These include behind-the-scenes notes, debates, and conversations that informed U.S. foreign policy decision making and relations with Canada, Nordic Countries, and West Germany.
