TLDR;
Spoke with @bestaxies 1 on 1 in the @TriballyGames Discord VC. We spoke for almost 2 hours on $Tribal, it's TGE (Token Generation Event), new Tribally alpha features, and bringing web2 to web3! A lot of alpha was mentioned. Some soon to be announced and a handful of future features yet to be revealed to the public. Exciting times in web3 and certainly a bright future for Tribally.

[SideNote: I took some time between the talk with Best and writing this post as i felt like making homemade tacos(should have wrote my thoughts down, oof). No quotes will be referenced and take my statements as opinions]

Before I get into my conversation with Best aka David de-Vilder Ceo of Tribally. I want to mention that this conversation was a spur of the moment. I originally intended to speak with tribal community members and made my intentions public with a X post. I was told word gets around quick and Best would be joining me for another "podcast". Wonderful! But also nerve wracking! Thanks @RareAxies !

What ensued was a very refreshing and enlightening conversation about the direction of tribally, both short term and long term. The efforts the team had put forth to ensure they delivered the best product they possibly could, and subjecting Best to my web3 schizo ramblings. 10/10 would love to do it again!

The Elephant in the room, Tribal's Airdrop hiccup.

Much to the disappointment of the community and Tribally team. A issue with token distribution came up. Resulting in pre-sale participants' tokens' transfers being delayed. This created a unfair market for those who intended to sell $tribal once they've received their tokens from @springdotnet.

Best communicated to me, the Tribally and Spring teams worked together tirelessly to resolve the issue. Sadly tokens took a little over 2.5 hours to fully distribute.

I've seen many web3 project fail to launch. From faulty smart contracts to hackers draining project funds. This hiccup in my eyes was not such a big deal. Frustrating for those wanting to take profits but just another day in crypto for conviction holders.

I encouraged Best to write a substack article to address the fud for future degens who maybe curious.

We touched on Play to Airdrop token distribution.

Data Sovereignty and Tribally.
To some this isn't a big deal to others it's one step closer to empowering content creators and gamers. Something that feels unique in the social media and digital entertainment space. Users will be able to freely own and monetize their data! Currently a big incentive for those looking to brand-build on tribally's platform. For gamers and content creators alike!

One of the more interesting topics, Best posed a question to me. How would you pitch web3 to a web2 game company?

I feel like failed to deliver when asked this. My distaste for corporate appeasement to the stock holders got the best of me lol.

So i will pass that question on to the reader. How would you integrate and onboard the average person and web2 game studio to web3? What would that look like?
