Shopify reported strong Q2 2026 earnings results with revenue of $3.58 billion, up 34% year-over-year (33% in constant currency) and beating estimates by about $140 million, alongside net income of $1.5 billion (or $439 million excluding equity investment gains). Gross merchandise volume rose 32% to $115.6 billion, gross profit reached $1.71 billion, operating income hit $488 million, and free cash flow came in at $654 million for an 18% margin. For Q3 2026, the company expects revenue growth in the low-thirties percent range, gross profit dollar growth in the mid-to-high twenties, operating expenses at 33–34% of revenue, stock-based compensation of $150 million, and free cash flow margin in the high-teens to low-twenties.

Pretty wild that Lamoriello’s preference was re-signing Nelson over selling him for a coveted first rounder plus a high-skilled 20-year-old who’s now the #Isles top prospect.
