"[T]he promise of America was never about guarantees, or limiting access, or stifling change. It was about giving ordinary people control over their own paths. [...]
That promise becomes harder to keep when people lock environments into place around themselves."

Political parties -- which are private organizations -- should stop using public funds for their internal nomination processes.
NH has more Independent voters than there are members in either major political party, yet the parties demand that non-party-members pay for their primaries.
That is wrong and needs to stop.
Restore peoples' property rights. Allow zoning only for safety and health. We've somehow gone from "live free or die" to "if my neighbors like it". That's just nutso.
Businesses who would otherwise relocate here if we had housing for their employees aren't going to be persuaded by SROs, Matt.
Government is in the way. Get it out of the way. Protect health. Protect safety. And then let the market fill as it needs to.

The government is prohibited from attempting to stifle someone's First Amendment rights, and it has no business dictating the personnel issues of a private company.
POTUS is out of bounds and is deliberately undermining the Constitution.
Again.

1. New England has precisely six states (MA, CT, ME, NH, RI, VT) with 21 reps, not 27.
2. Democrats don’t control the district lines in New Hampshire.
3. Vermont has just one district. Ungerrymanderable.
If the FedGov wants to take this power away from the states, then Congress needs to create legislation doing so. This is not something POTUS has the power to do.
This is an unconstitutional effort by the president.
N.H. Secretary of State David Scanlan responds to President Trump's signing of an executive order that seeks to create a national voter list: "The Federal Government cannot usurp New Hampshire’s express constitutional authority to run elections ..."
NH's "vehicle inspections" fight is a Liberal Values litmus test. How dependent have people become on the government?
Either you think you (and your neighbor) are able to get your cars checked and maintained without the government telling you to, or you do not.

Wee update in N.H. vehicle inspections lawsuit: Plaintiff (Gordon-Darby) disputes the state's anti-commandeering argument, saying N.H. officials crafted a state implementation plan (SIP) & "chose to make [it] federally enforceable" under the Clean Air Act. https://t.co/5qfUb5iGv8
We think every legislator in Concord (and every candidate going forward) should have to pass a civics test.
Start there.

An emergency request for cellphone location data that police used without a warrant to track down double-murder suspect Logan Clegg in 2022 was unconstitutional, the New Hampshire Supreme Court ruled Tuesday.

From our Platform:
End Qualified Immunity — Police and government officials should be held accountable for actions that violate the rights of the people.
They'll actually say "qualified immunity"... but you're right; that's exactly what they'll say. Organizations like the Institute for Justice (@IJ), and Classic Liberals (@NHCLP) , push back against that type of anti-accountability routinely.
So are you suggesting that because the government avoids accountability, states should NOT try to help their citizens whose civil rights are violated?

Also: in MN, when people are discovered to be carrying without their permit with them, it is treated as an administrative matter and routinely dismissed when the permit is produced. We have seen conflicting information whether he had his ID. Given the lies that were said about Pretti by the FedGov in the immediate aftermath, we advise a bit of patience on that particular question.
@StoicDad44@justinamash We’re literally the gun rights group here in Minnesota. There is no such law.
It is perfectly legal to carry a firearm with a permit at protests, political rallies, demonstrations, etc. in Minnesota.
The gov't this elected NH rep supports is terrorizing American cities with violent armed thugs and shredding our Constitution. If this is "the last best hope of the future of our civilization", then all is already lost.
New Hampshire needs better leaders.

They really think they can shame and gaslight us into fighting against the last best hope of the future of our civilization on behalf of Communists over a dead Communist.
Incredible.
@MikeBelcher14 Where are your changed facts of Pretti's shooting? Nothing we said was a "lie", but you called us liars. (And we'll kindly overlook the idiocy of calling us "Communists")
People only attack when they have nothing of value to add. It's okay, we understand.
Events on the day of his shooting are not changed an iota by events on some prior date. We all saw the multiple videos, Mike. We all saw that he was helping a woman. And yes, he was a nurse. That is also a plain fact.
CBP shot a man in the back, multiple times. That man was not a threat to them. He never pulled his legally-carried weapon. These truths were captured by multiple witness videos. 🤷♀️
That day, like this other, is simply historical record. You can't change it, however much you clearly want to.
