@rhys_elgumati @DrHuw Much more complicated than this. It’s multifactorial as @DrHuw says. Plus the beady surgical eyes at the anaesthetic room window every five minutes don’t speed us up. Equally, I try to avoid peering at wound closure, especially if a more junior member of staff.

@IreneCrammond @medicalmodelbri With respect, when you get advice from a professional person about something you don’t know about yourself (doctor, lawyer, accountant), you are simply not in a position to judge whether they were good or not. Several courses of antibiotics may well have been right.

@Dr__Sarmy I interviewed at (and was offered a place at) Birmingham University Med School. The academic staff on the interview panel were arrogant and smug. My spidey senses told me to avoid. I’m sure there are a mix of experiences but I’m now hearing many bad stories about this place.

@ChrisHopsonNHS How is 1 month even a metric that is being used here? It shows far things have slipped. It’s also pitiful that around 4% of patients are still waiting this length of time for an appointment.

@ChrisHopsonNHS Many of these are these roles are not specialists. That’s not to diminish their jobs or potential roles in a wider healthcare context, but by referring to them as specialists you diminish our confidence in you.
