@UCU_Ulster @ucu @ucuatqub @array_studios Hey @array_studios! We are currently in dispute with NMNI in regards to the NI civil service pay award and will be ASOS from the 15th. It would be great if we could get a chat sometime about organising something similar for striking museum workers - cheers!

It's beyond insulting. Undermining the positions that matter and without them, NMNI would not be able to open a door, never mind help the public interpret our collections.

Museums play an important role in preserving our cultural heritage, but it is the workers who fulfil that function. Plans to redevelop Ulster Folk and Transport Museum should be suspended until staff are paid a proper wage.

Plans to invest £50million in the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum while its staff prepare to strike for fair pay is an insult to those workers who keep the Museum open throughout the year.

Well done #nipsa members at the Ulster folk and transport museum who have voted to take strike action on St Patricks day against low pay. This is one of their busiest days of the year and is a strong expression of the anger felt by workers facing insulting poverty pay offers.
