Something exciting is coming…
Two teacher mums.
Two countries.
One shared love of learning, coding on @Replit , motherhood and figuring it all out as we go.
Classroom to Code with Nadia & Noni is launching soon.

My husband is from Sudan, and after the war, his cousin came to me with a question that stayed with me: How do kids keep learning when war has closed schools, displaced families, cut power, and made internet unreliable?
So I built Silah Online - an offline-first learning network that pairs Sudanese teachers with Sudanese students, built for real constraints on the ground:
Downloadable lessons. A public lesson library. Live sessions when connection allows. One home beyond scattered WhatsApp groups.
Silah means connection in Arabic, but it also carries the deeper idea of ṣilat ar-raḥm: keeping the bonds of family and kinship alive.
Because even through war and displacement, the bond between teachers and students should stay unbroken.
Created by Modal Education, run by Sudanese teachers - Built with @Replit@amasad@Replit@MannyBernabe@raymmar@brmiddle

For years, I had ideas in my head that I couldn’t actually build. In my @Replit Edu spotlight, I shared how I went from adapting lessons by hand as a teacher to building the tools I kept wishing existed for my students.
Teachers are already building every day. We design around student needs, modify materials, use multiple modalities, troubleshoot and create solutions with whatever we have.
But now, AI literacy has changed what's possible for me and my students.
It gave me a way to build from inside the classroom experience, not outside of it. And I think that’s where the future of EdTech gets really exciting: when the people closest to the problem can build the solution.
A special thank you to the Replit Edu team for having me on today. If you missed it, you can watch my talk here :)

“Mama, memorizing Surahs is boring and hard!” I resisted the urge to tell her this is just how it is… because I remember how I felt as a kid.
As an ADHD mom, I understand the need for learning to be fun. As a teacher, I know what it should look like. As a builder in 2026, I can do it in one day.
I built Ayah Quest and had her testing it within hours - a research-based, gamified journey from Makkah to Madina with a stop for each Surah. My kid loves it, and now kids I’ve never met are using it.
It’s free! Try it out at https://t.co/jAIZQw3doD :)

Choosing @Replit for my business was about values alignment as much as tech. Products reflect the worldview of the people behind them.
You can feel when a founder believes in creating more equity, lowering barriers to entry and giving people access instead of gatekeeping.
That’s why founder alignment matters. Their values show up in what they build.

Thank you CassyxTech for having me on your livestream today and giving me space to share my journey.
The best people to work with don’t just hand you the fish. They show you the tools, take you to the water and empower you to keep going.

When I created my first math program, people started referring to me as a “math person.”
But my secret is that math is hard for me, and it always was. I remember my head spinning in first grade trying to understand place value, and hours of tutoring in high school trying to pass pre-calc.
Being naturally good at something does not mean you know how to explain it, break it down, or reach struggling learners.
Teaching is an exercise in empathy. It is meeting learners where they are.
Often, the person who struggled is the one who knows exactly how to help others understand.

AI is already here and schools are still rejecting it blindly. The truth is that teachers and students are already using it. Let's just make sure we're teaching everyone to use it ethically.
We need to understand the ethics of AI in education clearly, name the risks and benefits and move toward thoughtful acceptance faster.

The best teachers remove friction for their students. The best builders remove friction for their users.
The goal is lowering cognitive load, and removing unnecessary barriers.
That is why good teaching and good product design are so connected.
