@thisisfoster The nature of the NT church is exclusively for believers while the nature of OT Israel is a mixed community of believers and unbelievers has convinced me that the sign of the covenant is to be administered on the basis of the nature of the people of God in either covenants.
@IndianaBrunner@gavinortlund Catholics can affirm that salvation is by grace through faith and the call it initial justification. However they believe that you can fall out of the state of grace which they differ with the Protestants on how faith and works work after justification and being in Christ.
@FoundersMin@DrDanger1689 It’s a misleading article on a few points because there are many wrong assumptions and misrepresentations of the ERAS position here in this article. ERAS proponents affirms the human will, they don’t deny it. ERAS affirms the hypostatic union. Misleading for sure
@MatthewWBates@TGC Can I understand what’s the difference in your understanding of the gospel as compared to Macarthur’s understanding of lordship salvation?
@haymes_joshua I’ve done a write up on why I’m convinced on the matter and have come to believe that credobaptism is a biblically credible position to hold. If you’ll be keen, I’m happy to send it for your consideration.
@calebwait@MichaelHorton_ I think the EFS doctrine has strong biblical warrant for it especially when we see how the Holy Spirit as God intercedes and how the Bible uses the language of how the third person of the Trinity “does not speak on His own authority” in John 14:26.
