@panagis21 Absolutely. And it isn’t a new or revolutionary idea. But to make it work, we have to basically dismantle the current healthcare system and create a new one that actually serves patients.
I just spent the last 2 hrs of my life trying to schedule preventive care appointments. I got ¾ done, with an insane amount of annoyance and confusion about the orders, and can’t schedule the last until later this year. No wonder patients don’t get shit done. It should be easy!
I’m reading a book about mindfulness and my Garmin watch just told me that my stress levels were too high and I should try a relaxation exercise. I am the person who stresses about stress reduction. 🤦🏻♀️
@BabsWilgus “Reach out” as in, “I’ll reach out to him abo it the project tomorrow.” I can’t help but see a disembodied hand reaching through some poor unfortunate’s computer screen. 🤮
@TransNursing Frankly, I bet if you did a study about when this is most likely to happen, it would be patients who are Black women with sickle cell, which makes it a racist and sexist practice.
Today’s health system frustration: transportation problems that put patients at risk because they can’t be seen in a timely way in clinic and there simply isn’t enough home-based primary care. 🤬🤬🤬 At least I’m wfh today so I can scream obscenities. #NurseTwitter#MedTwitter
@TrenaryJL @POTUS Not to mention that in our current system, pharmacists can’t bill for that time so it is patient care without remuneration! It is theft of time. #singlepayernow
@RainaBrands Yes! This happens to me, too. Once my kid ended up sitting for hours in the nurses’ office sick because they kept calling me and I was in the middle of a busy clinic without my phone and they wouldn’t call his dad.
