From what I understand there was also the threat of legal action from the employer if the strikes were to go ahead.

The outcomes for Congress are a great commitment to PGR members and the PGRs as staff campaign.

But I don’t want us to have to repeatedly re-affirm this each year.

In local @NewcastleUcu @NuAntiCas MAB action last year our claim included a demand for PGR contracts.

We won. Contracts should be in place for September.

@UCUPostgrads staff gave absolutely vital support.

There’s still work to do. Congress’ support or PGRs is heartening
