(1/5) We are proud to amplify a piece by MIT that highlights the launch of NSF APPEX and Prof. Lydia Bourouiba’s role as Associate Director for Translation, Impact, and Policy.
Prof. Lydia Bourouiba has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant to co-launch a research center focused on pandemic prevention. The NSF Center for Analysis and Prediction of Pandemic Expansion (APPEX) will bring together experts from diverse fields to develop solutions for predicting, mitigating, and preventing pandemics. APPEX will also translate research into actionable policy recommendations through the MIT Policy Lab. To foster interdisciplinary engagement from the start, the center has launched its first Solicitation of Seed Ideas for Working Group Proposals, inviting stakeholders to actively shape research initiatives. https://t.co/zfterokDOI
