@YoursTrulyPain On the bloodborne topic i need to inform you that its already stated by Sonys execs recently that Miyazaki is the one denying more work on it.
@nday987@TheTrueVanguard And the current rag pull is due to Marathon being what Sony believes in, which most likely is also part of what Bungie execs are currently selling. So they see that the resources are better used there and destiny can eat dust with a half finished story and broken promises.
@nday987@TheTrueVanguard And this here is a correct statement. Also dont forget other incubation projects, it was not just Marathon.
The big issue is that they went ahead with supporting D2 to keep the cow alive, promising things and suddenly they pull the rag and expect to get away with it.
@nday987@TheTrueVanguard In the end D2 was left with way smaller team and they have been trying to make the game autopilot itself with as little content and updates as possible. To make things work. But they cannot really handle even that. So here we are.
@nday987@TheTrueVanguard You really dont get how things work eh? Sony bought Bungie because they already had multiple projects being worked on with Marathon already in the works. All of these projects were created and worked on to increase bungies value(hence the billions).
@Leciox2@TheTrueVanguard Like, ok, bungo greenlit a roadmap or the momentum post. And you see that things go downwards. You either push for confirmation to publish something or leave because you are not happy with your role. But again. Paychecks.
@Leciox2@TheTrueVanguard Oh my days, stop with the ethical shields. Dudes job is to communicate(biderectional). He failed at that. He has no say or power to change something. If he is there for the paychecks so be it. But dont try to defend everyone and everything.
@nday987@TheTrueVanguard No they did not. They had 1 income resource and tried to make destiny work with as little as possible while aggressively monetizing it to funnel other projects. This is some top notch bs. Money to develop other games with no active publisher or parent company? How brother?
@MuItimach Where did the income of all that go? They just stretched the studio to work into multiple fronts and they had 1 income resource. That income resource funneled everything else and they tried to make that work with as little resources as possible.
@MuItimach I dont know if you understand what you just posted. All of what you just described are the results of marathon. Portal was a way to increase user activity while producing less content to need less resources. Patches took forever because they lacked resources. Due to Marathon.
@MuItimach Everything was being moved into incubation projects and Marathon while Destiny players were getting milked. Events passes, dungeon keys, server issues, eververse shader packs and 20$ skins, low quality assets and hugely bugged seasons.
@MuItimach Like 1+1=2, its that easy. We have been on a downward spiral of quality since preLightfall with things getting worse and worse and monetization getting more aggressive. And with all that money and high player counts, the game got little to nothing back.
@KleanPlays The analogy here is: if my toy broke to fix your toy, then your toy breaks. Not the same. And my toy did not just break. It has been breaking down for the past few years and suddenly i learn that nobody is taking care of my toy no more, so they can do their best for yours.
@sirdoom34 Decisions should have consequences. And every decision so far has been in the detriment of an IP and community that stands for over a decade so a few can cash out. Lies, broken promises, crap quality with agro monetization to what end? Support another game with a rug pull? Nuh.
@TheTrueVanguard So its not about hating marathon. We got lied multiple times, we got promises that they simply walk away and leave a story unfinished 12 years in, so they can move resources to another game and drop support on our IP? Sorry what? So yeah ima fight that game. Even if i loved it.
@TheTrueVanguard Thats some top notch bs right here boss. Its not about hating on another game. Marathon is a 10/10. Period. But it killed destiny and that much has been true for so long, we just basically got the final confirmation. So this in turn becomes a message. If one burns, they all burn.
@TheTrueVanguard I already bought marathon to support Bungie endeavors since they had promised two more years of support. Destiny was already in a downwards spiral in terms of quality. But we had something to expect. And now they just pull the rug after so many months of silence?
